Monster Ashley

Darrius and his mommy dropped by yesterday. Also here were a few other mommies and their cute children. As usual, Ashley kept following Darrius around. I wonder why she didn't really play with the other children. She kept touching Darrius, tried to sit on him and at one time, she pulled him down from the dining chair :( Poor Darrius was terrified and in shocked too. Luckily he didn't hit his head. Don't know what's wrong with Ashley....she just kept harrassing the poor kid. I am terribly sorry, Alice. I had a long talk with Ashley and I hope she understands that what she did was wrong.

Ok...enough about my monster. Ladies, it was great to meet up and chat. We should do this more often. However, I think Darrius would never want to step foot into our house now :( I guess no mommies would also want to bring their kids to our house anymore after reading this post :)

p/s: I was so worried that Darrius will have nightmares from all the harrassment that I smsed Alice and asked her if he slept well last night. Alice said Darrius slept like a log. Thank God!!!!

My Plants

I love to have green plants in my house and ever since we moved here in January, I have been buying lots of potted plants as well as hanging ones. My mother is the one who takes care of them though :) She would water them everyday, add fertiliser and move some of them out into the driveway to get some dewdrops at night. Lately, she has been unwell and it was my turn to water the plants. However, I think the plants miss her and some of them are beginning to be sick. See this plant below?

This is how the plant looked like when I first bought it. You can see the now photo below :(

Sigh....maybe I watered it too much? I'm trying to rescue it by putting the plant out to catch some dewdrops. Hopefully it will get better.

Walking In The Rain With My Umbrella Ella Ella

Yesterday, my hubby and I went out for a little while in the afternoon, without Ashley who was napping at home with her por por. As soon as we reached our destination, it started to rain. Since we parked quite a distance away from the entrance of the place we were heading, we couldn't run to the door without getting all wet. So the man got the umbrella out and walked over to my side. Then both of us were like this .........

Err...actually, his hands were more like this

It's been awhile since we did that cos usually I would be lugging a big bag and he would be holding the lil' missy's hand :) So.....what do you think?? Romantic?

Heck No.

The rain was heavy and it came in all directions. So we had to walk really fast and my legs were all wet :( Sigh....perhaps........on another rainy day.

Feeding The Fishes

I'm sure you all know that the fish spas are mushrooming everywhere in the city. I still have not tried them eventhough I have read about it in Shireen's blog. I find it rather freaky to have hundreds of monstrous fries feeding on my leg :D Just the other day when I was at one of the smaller malls, I saw this fish spa being set up in the middle of the walk way. Someone came up with the idea of opening fish spas without having to rent a shop :D Instead of a pool, there were several big tubs on the floors and a few chairs around them. There were also rubber hoses everywhere. Kinda messy :D Eventhough the whole spa set up was barricaded with some blue plastic sheets, shoppers could still see those who are sitting there, having their feet dip into the tubs. Fish spa is supposed to provide some kind of relaxation and rejuvenation. I don't know about you but if I want to have some fishes nibble on my dead skin, I would want to do it privately...not in the middle of a highway ;)

Anyway, I still think a theraupetic massage is more like my cup of tea. A head to toe massage to loosen things up is the best! Hmm...I sometimes wonder if the masseurs have attended any massage therapy schools as some of them are really good.

Another Birthday Celebration

It was my dad's birthday yesterday and we went over to his office to celebrate it with him. Lil' missy was so excited when she found out that there was a birthday celebration yesterday. She kept singing the birthday song in the morning and also in the car. We ordered dad a jelly cake because it was everyone's favourite and the cake was in the shaped of a dalmation. My dad loves dogs and that was the only dog design which look less cartoonish :D We asked Ashley to choose a cake design much earlier and she wanted Dora the Explorer, Barney or Elmo *chuckled*

posing for mommy

singing the birthday song while on kung kung's lap

As soon as she saw her kung kung, she said, "happy birthday, gung gung" and gave him a kiss. The grandpapa was so happy :D Then she wanted to cut the cake immediately *slaps forehead* After about an hour later, we finally brought the cake out and sang the birthday song. Ashley was so happy...as if it was her birthday. There is no guessing who blew the candle :D After we had eaten half of the cake, Ashley wanted to have another round of candle blowing.

We lit the candle again and she sang the birthday song by herself and blew the candle. This went on for at least another 4 times *shake head* Luckily we managed to distract her, otherwise there will be no stopping her :D

Cleaning Is Fun With Huggies Cleanteam

Yay! My package of Huggies Cleanteam products has arrived!!! Ever since I signed up to review the latest Huggies Cleanteam product, I have been waiting earnestly for them to arrive. When I opened the box, I was delighted to be greeted by the lovable Huggies Cleanteam who reported for dirty, i mean duty ;) They are Henry, the hip purple hippo hand soap, Freddy, the cool pink flamingo moist wipes and Sammy, the cute blue snake shampoo and conditioner.

It is important to teach children about cleanliness. Ever since Ashley knows how to crawl, I have been instilling good personal hygiene in her. Besides being a clean freak and I am also very afraid of my child getting sick. I always believe that healthy living starts with personal hygiene. However, it is not easy trying to get my child to remember washing her hands each time after she has done her poopie business, after playing with her toys and before she eats or handles food. Thanks to Huggies Cleanteam, my 3-year-old finds it fun to clean. Below are some pics of her trying out the Henry Hippo bath soap.

Ashley washing her hands with the hand soap

mmmm.....I love the smell

Now, every time when she gets her hands dirty, she would run to the sink and wash them. Thank goodness for the lock on the hand soap. If not, I am sure Ashley will finish the whole bottle in a few days. Oh, Henry has a 20-second blinking timer which comes on when it is pumped.

Wishy Washy time

The second product that I tried are the moist wipes which have a nice melon smell and they are pre-moistened. I so love that they are flushables. It makes disposing them so much easier for me. I washed Ashley's hair with Sammy Snake tear-free shampoo yesterday and she was so mesmerised with the cartoon character and the colourful bottle that she was holding on to it throughout the hair wash session :) The bottle is shaped in a way that it is easy to grip even when the hands are wet. Ashley loves the wonderful smell on her hair and so do I. Now she wants to wash her hair every day with Sammy Snake. Huggies Cleanteam definitely make cleaning more fun and exciting for a toddler. You can read more about what other mommies think of the Huggies Cleanteam here. Thank you Huggies for these great products and last but not least, thank you Ethan, for sending them to us.

sHe KnOws

So far we have only taken Ashley to 2 Toys R Us stores and they are at Subang Parade and Mid Valley. It is quite funny that she knows which mall has this particular toy store and which mall does not. So whenever we step foot at Mid Valley or Subang Parade, she would immediately ask to go to Toys R Us. She would not ask about it when we are at other malls ;)

What she loves to do most when she's in Toys R Us are looking at the toys, play with some of them and go through the books. Luckily she doesn't ask us to buy her anything :D Actually, we are the ones who would ask her if she wants this or that and she would say no :D

So, as soon as we arrived at the mall, she would ask to go to Toys R Us. We would tell her that it's closed and the store will only be opened later....hahahahaha. *Later* means when daddy and mommy have done all the shopping they want ;)

Stop. No photos please

So What Are You Doing Today?

My friend dropped by to visit me yesterday and while chatting, she told me about the Brands Outlet at Ampang Point. She said this shop has many children's clothing, especially for girls ;) Being a shopaholic, I was so excited to hear about it. So, today, we will be checking it out. The Brands Outlet is the same as the one at Ikano but the one at Ampang Point has more clothings for girls.......*rubbing hands together* I am sure the man would grumble when he sees me shopping for Ashley again because he thinks she has too many clothes :D Ahhhh....when you have a girl, you gotta dress her up eh? Plus....I need some retail therapy too ^_^

Bean Boozled

Hey, check out this really funny Youtube video of Jeremy Griffin - Bean Boozled #4 - Caramel Corn vs. Moldy Cheese. This guy is eating a caramel corn with a moldy cheese! What a weird combination. Yucky!! Must be one nasty taste. I certainly can't stomach that :) Jeremy Griffin has other similar Bean Boozled videos. So, do you think he enjoyed eating this? Well, click on the video below and see for yourself :D

A Different Kind of Drink

Ashley has never been too keen to try new food. I would say she is rather picky when it comes to food. Also, she doesn't like to eat stuff that are hard and even for raisins, I would need to cut it into half and give it to her last time. Of course now she gobbles them :D She also doesn't like juices. I've tried giving her different flavours but she refused them :( Lately, I am surprised that she is willing to eat more things like roti canai, beancurd (fu pei), char siew, nuggets, KFC's pita wrap, etc. Just yesterday, she suddenly asked for this -

It must have been the huge billboard with the Ribena ad by the road which she sees each time we go out. I know....it's not the healthiest drink of all but as long as she is willing to drink something that's similar to fruit juice, I'm happy :D My next target is to get her to drink some juices ;)

The Toilet Bowl Phobia

A few days ago, while climbing onto the toilet seat, Ashley accidentally slipped and she almost fell inside the toilet bowl. Her bum didn't touch the water though but it just went further in than usual. Ever since that incident, she doesn't want to climb onto the seat herself. She wants us to carry her onto the seat each time she wants to pee pee :( We have been trying to coax her, praise her and showed her how to do it carefully but she still refuses to climb up herself. However, she's ok with doing it at the toilet upstairs *slaps forehead* I wonder when she will get over her fear of the toilet bowl downstairs.

Six Word Memoir

My new blogging friend tagged me on this. Thanks Blessed Mum :D I have been thinking of a six word memoir for a while but couldn't find one that contains six words. Then a couple of days ago, I saw this a signage on health. It reminded me of this :-

Health Is More Important Than Wealth

When Ashley was sick last month and then followed by my mum, I was really upset. I wished that they didn't have to go through what they did. It is heartbreaking and I realised that nothing is more important than good health.

Here are the rules of the tag but I won't be tagging anyone. If you would like to do it, then do follow 'em rules below ;)

***Rules***

1.) Write your own six word memoir.
2.) Post it on your blog; include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3.) Link to the person that tagged you in your post, and to the original post if possible.
4.) Tag at least five more blogs with links.
5.) Leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!

The Booster Seat

I wrote about getting Ashley a booster seat earlier and she likes her new seat very much. When her daddy installed the booster into the car, she was waiting eagerly to try it out. As soon as her daddy was done, she quickly hopped onto the seat :) She kept pulling on the belts and even now she knows how to unbuckle herself *roll eyes*. After 10 minutes, we asked her to come out but she refused. Even when we closed the car door, she still refused to come out of the car. So what did I do? Bring out the cane of course ;)

hmm.... seems rather comfy

I like it very much :D

Busy Day

Today is kinda busy for me. Got a few assignments to rush out and plus today is Ironing Day :( Got a pile of clothes to be ironed as I just did laundry for the past few days. Have to do it by today because tomorrow we'll be out visiting my dad at his office. My hubby called earlier and asked if we would want to make a trip to the Digital mall later tonight :( He said he would like to check out the latest Smart book laptop by Ftech. I hope he's not going to get another laptop unless he wishes to donate the one he has now ;) There is no stopping men and their gadgets.

Homemade Remedy

I have been feeling a bit wuzzy these past few days. My throat is scratchy and I can feel phlegms in the back of my throat. Been coughing a bit too as my throat feels dry. I didn't see a doctor this time. Instead I drank a lot of honey and squeezed some lemon juice in my drink. I hope my throat feels better soon with this homemade remedy and I don't need to see a doctor ;)

I've got a present

When daddy came home from work today, he handed me this envelope.

It's from two cute sisters, Belle and Cassie. I asked mommy to open the envelope and wow...it's a pretty pink t-shirt for my birthday. I like it very much as pink is my favourite colour :D Mommy told me that Belle and Cassie live in a place far far away in 'U' something. Err...I just know that my mah mah is in Canada and mommy said the 'U' place is near there.

There was also a very nice card in the envelope and I tried to do headstand like the girl in the card.

I don't know why mommy was laughing when she read the words on the t-shirt. It says "Here Comes Trouble" and mommy said Trouble is my middle name. So, does that mean my name is Ashley Trouble Hor?

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Belle mei mei, Cassie mei mei, Auntie Vien and Uncle Jon for the lovely gift. It is very thoughtful of all of you. *muaks muaks*

A Simple Dinner

Since I'm a little unwell, I don't feel like eating anything oily for dinner. I walked over to the bakery nearby with the intention of getting some breads. I ended up getting this round thing.

It's an orange sponge cake and according to the lady at the shop, it is fresh from the oven. Since I love orange-flavoured cakes, I didn't hesitate to buy it. Not sure if I can finish this whole cake today. Ashley is not too fond of cakes unfortunately. Otherwise she could share it with me :) My husband too is not a cake lover :( I better make myself a cup of Milo to go with this. I bet it will taste pretty good.

A Package Pour Moi

and pour Ashley ;) My husband found 2 notices from the Post Office in our mailbox yesterday evening. The postman was here to drop off 2 packages for me and Ashley. I wonder why he didn't ring the doorbell or honk. I was at home the whole day yesterday. Anyway....my husband will be going to the Post Office this evening to take the items for us. I have signed up to review some products and have been waiting and waiting for them to arrive. I thought the packages have gone missing as the advertisers have sent them out a long time ago. I'm glad at least one of them is here. I also wonder who sent Ashley a package. According to the card, it's a package from the States :D I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Me and My Munchkin

I just received a very interesing tag from one hot mama =) She would like to see a photo of my munchkin and me. I told her that I'll look for a photo which would show my 'barbalicious' side *lol* Of course where got such thing eh? I remember taking some photos with Ashley during her recent birthday celebration. So here are Her Royal Highness and me :D

Internet Connection And Computer Problem

Sigh...the internet connection is driving me nuts again. The connection will come on for a while and then goes off. I had to switch off the modem for more than 10 seconds and switch it on again. I have been doing this a few times a day. The connection is worse after midnight. My husband thinks it has something to do with our wireless router and probably not Maxis's fault. We better start shopping for another router soon. One more thing that drives me up the wall is that my computer is super slow. I have defrag my computer and scan my hard drive for errors but the problem still exist. I guess I have to add my computer memory to give it a speed boost.

Father's Day Dinner

Just came back after having our Father's Day dinner. No fancy schmancy food but a light dinner at our one of our favourite coffee places - The Coffee Bean. Their gourmet sandwiches are pretty good. Today, being Father's Day, all their chicken sandwiches were sold out :( These are what we had :-

Ultimate Ice Blend coffee

A salmon and egg sandwich on panini bread

A turkey meat sandwich on chipotle bread

My favourite - cream cheese bagel

Ashley loves the bagel but tried to spit out the poppy seeds *grin* My hubby was still hungry after eating the sandwiches that he went next door to McD for a chicken burger :) So, how did you celebrate Father's Day?

Dirt Devil Saves The Day

When you have a toddler, it is not easy to keep the house clean. There is always food crumbs on the floor, on the sofa and just about anywhere you can think of. Children are children no matter what the circumstances. They will spill, drop, drip, reach and drag food onto their clothes and the floor. My three-year old is always leaving bread crumbs and bits of food on the sofa as well as the floor. Sometimes she also snacks in the car when we go out. There will be food on the car seat too. However, it is not easy to scoop out the food crumbs especially when they have rolled under the carseat or got trapped in the nooks and cranies. Nor is it easy to clean those messy spills. Cleaning after her is a lot of work. I try to keep an eye closed but being a clean freak, I just cannot bear to leave those mess behind. Having a vacuum cleaner around the house and also a hand vac will surely come in handy.

I just heard about the new Dirt Devil AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac. These vacuum cleaners use 70% less energy than its competitors, are compact and charges 2 times faster. AccuCharge is the first cordless cleaning technology to earn Energy Star approval. Besides being easy to use and offer fast clean up, Dirt Devil will help you conserve energy when cleaning your house or your car. I cannot wait to get my hands on a Dirt Devil and suck those dirt away. If you are shopping for a good vacuum cleaner, why not check them out today?

Happy Father's Day

To all the daddies out there.....Happy Father's Day :D

We didn't do anything special for my hubby today (no pressies too). We'll probably go out for dinner but still not sure where to. He was mentioning about Wendy's since he read about its opening recently at one of the malls. I'm a bit under the weather and don't really feel like heading to the mall. Hmmm....maybe if I feel a wee bit better later, we could drop by Sunway Pyramid which is the nearest mall that has a Wendy's outlet :) So, how did you all celebrate Father's Day?

Look Out Dust, Here Comes Dirt Devil

Although I hate to admit it but I do enjoy cleaning my house. I find cleaning to be therapeutic :D I feel uncomfortable and a lil' bit cranky at the end of the day if I did not clean the house properly. I need to wipe the dust off all the tables, shelves, sweep the floor and more every day. As for mopping the floor, I would do that every alternate day. My family calls me the 'cleanaholic' :D Well, because of my cleaning habits, my 3-year toddler is beginning to follow my footsteps. Each time when I start cleaning, she would take her hanky and start immitating me too.

Ever since we moved into our house in January, I have been doing more cleaning compared to the time when we were staying at the apartment. There seem to be a lot more dust in the house. I have never owned a vacuum cleaner before because it uses a lot of energy and also I do not like the idea of lugging a huge piece of equipment around the apartment. However, I am contemplating of getting a vacuum cleaner now because it would certainly make cleaning the house a lot easier. Just when I wanted to shop around for one, the government made an annoucement last week that there will be an increase in the rate of the electricity :( Ironically, I just heard about the new Dirt Devil AccuCharge stick vac and hand vac. These vacuum cleaners are cordless and use 70% less energy. AccuCharge is the first cordless cleaning technology to earn the Energy Star approval. With these vacuum cleaners, cleaning is so easy and hassle-free. Dirt Devil AccuCharge vacuum cleaners are definitely the best. I can clean till my heart's content without having to worry about the high electricity bill at the end of the month.

No More Jogging For Now

Since I experienced heartburn a few months ago, I have been exercising regularly by jogging around my neighbourhood in the mornings. However, I have stopped jogging for now as my mother is not well. I would go to the market in the morning to buy breakfast for her and then rush back to prepare Ashley's breakfast, do some housework and etc. I was looking at some ipods as I plan to get one so that I can listen to my favourite tunes when I go jogging but I guess I have to shelf that plan for now. Though I can't jog, I try to do a 1o-minute rope jumping exercise now but I do not think I can listen to an ipod when jumping :)

The So-Called Private Hospital

Warning
*Long rant ahead* :D

My mum has not been feeling well for the past one month. She is very tired and has heart palpitations. We were worried about her condition and my sister took her to "A" Hospital to see a cardiologist. My mum took an ECG test and Echocardiogram to check for possible heart problem. The cardiologist also asked her to take a blood test which include a check on the levels of thyroid hormones. He also wanted her to do a stress test which is running on a threadmill but my mum was too weak to do that. So, the cardiologist arranged for the stress test to be carried out the following week and at the same time, he will explain the result of the blood test. During the ECG and Echo, her heart showed no problem at all but the cardiologist still want to perform the stress test as it is more accurate to determine if there was any blockage of the big arteries.

However, at the following week, my mum was still very weak and was unable to do the stress test. So, my sister called the nurse and told her that my mum needs to reschedule the stress test. As we were eager to find out about the blood test result, my sister asked the nurse if there was anything from the blood test. The nurse told my sister that there was no problem at all. We were of course relieved to hear that. So, we waited for another week and my mum was still not getting any better. She feels fatigue all the time and lost a lot of weight. In fact, she has lost 6 kg in one month. We really didn't know what to do but to wait for my mum to be a little stronger so that she could go for the stress test. My mum has been seeing a Chinese herbalist doctor and was told that she has low blood pressure and a weak heart. He precribed some medication for her to take and my mum even told the cardiologist about the medication. He advised my mum to continue taking the Chinese medication.

Yesterday, 2 weeks after the blood test result, my mum went back to A Hospital to do the stress test, despite still being very weak as she wanted to know if there was anything wrong with her heart. My mum informed the cardiologist again about how she has been feeling since the last time she met him. The cardiologist feels that my mum has thyroid (judging from all those symptoms like fatigue, weight loss, insomnia). He wanted my mum to do a test for thyroid but my sister told him that she had already did it during the last appointment. Oops!!!! Guess what? The cardiologist did not have the result of the thyroid test in the file. He was rather embarrassed and contacted the lab about it. Then right away he scheduled another ECG to be perfomed on my mum. When my mum came back after the ECG, the cardiologist has the thyroid result in the file already. And guess what again??? My mum indeed has thyroid and it is an over-active one too!! Had the thyroid test result been forwarded to the doctor's office earlier, we would have known what my mum was suffering from when my sister called them 2 weeks ago. My mum would have gotten the necessary treatment right away instead of suffering for 2 weeks. So whose fault was it? The people at the lab for keeping the result? The nurse for not checking? The cardiologist? If I was present, I would have given him a piece of my mind. This is clearly the 'tidak-apa' attitude of certain people. How could they be so careless and left out this important information?

Once he had gone through the thyroid test result, the cardiologist concluded that my mum is indeed suffering from thyroid and he said he is glad that it is not a heart problem. Luckily my mum did not have to go through the stress test (since it's not a heart problem) or else I think she would faint from all those running since she is so weak. Right after that, my mum made the appointment to see the endocrinologist and she is now taking like tons of medication :(

She Needs A Boost

For the past one month, we have been looking for a booster seat for lil' missy for our other car. I so wanted to get this after seeing it in one of the mommies blogs :-

Isn't this pretty?? Just right for a Princess :D However, my hubby said it's TOO PINK for his car :( Men!!!! Then when we were at Pavillion about 2 weeks ago, we saw a Graco booster seat on sale. It looks like a car seat but it's actually a booster.

The one we got is in a different shade but similar design. Of course, it's not in pink but a neutral colour. Ashley loves her new booster and refused to get out of the car when her daddy was trying to put it in.

Not So Crazy Anymore

Ever since Shireen lent Ashley a Hi5 dvd, Ashley was hooked. She watched it everyday from start till the end. I was so afraid that we would spoil Shireen's dvd that we went out and bought her another one with a different title. Then my sister and my mum also got 2 more Hi5 dvds for Ashley. She would watch a different one everyday and this went on for a month or two. She refused to watch Barney or Elmo since she found out about Hi5 *roll eyes*

Then when Ashley fell ill about a month ago....she suddenly stopped watching Hi5. Guess what? She went back to watching Barney and Elmo. Whenever I ask her about Hi5, she would say No. This lil' missy is really one funny kid.

Some of Ashley's Hi5 collection

Watching The Purple Dinosaur attentively

p/s: Shireen, I am really sorry I still have not return the Hi5 and Barney dvds to you. I keep forgetting. Will make sure I send them back to you soon.

Time To Tighten The Belt

No, this is not about the recent fuel hike and the rising cost of living. It is more about being able to lose those extra kilos ;) A few days ago, my husband went to the pharmacy and bought himself a fat burner and a meal replacement supplement. He has been on a low-carb diet for a month and yet he doesn't find it very effective this time. He is trying to shed some weight because his sparring partner at his martial arts class is finding it a tad difficult to throw him over the shoulder. I hope he would be successful in achieving his ideal weight. Maybe I should also try the meal replacement and see if it works for me. At least this way is better than taking diet pills because these pills have some serious side effects.

Huggies Ultra Diapers

Recently when I couldn't find the XL size for Mamypoko diapers at the Giant Supermarket, I discovered something new :D When I was at Guardian, I saw the Huggies Ultra Diapers on sale. It was RM25.90 for a packet of 30 pieces XL size diapers. I decided to buy a pack and let Ashley tries it when she goes to bed at night. I have always like Huggies brand because of its unique hi-cut leg design and soft magic tapes. After the first try, I am glad that Huggies Ultra works just as good :D According to their information on the package, the diaper holds it in for more than 12 hours so baby is protected, even overnight. Absorbs up to 8x wettings*. I think I'm going to stick to this brand for a while...since it's cheaper. I'm trying to find ways to save cost with the recent fuel hike ;)

My Wall Decal

Remember my earlier post regarding the wall decals I bought from Etsy? Well, they are already up on my walls a few weeks ago. I finally took some photos of them and here's a sneak peak :-

This bird decal is above the doorway to the kitchen

The flower decals are on the wall along the staircase.

So, whaddaya think? Actually I should be more adventurous and opt for colourful decals instead of just brown colour ones. I am so tempted to shop for more now *rubbing palms together* Let me check out etsy again ;)

Happy Rice Dumpling Festival

Today is the 5th day of the 5th month in the Chinese calendar and it is also known as the Duan Yu Festival (Rice Dumpling Festival). When my grandmother was still around, she would make the traditional dumplings and hers were the white dumplings known as Nonya dumplings. They were simply delicious. My grandmother also wrapped the "kan sui" dumplings which are eaten with liquified brown sugar. Just thinking of them are making me hungry. We don't celebrate the Dumpling festival now but I bought some for my sister who loves "kan sui" dumplings. Actually the rice dumplings are available all year round but the "kan sui" ones are not so common. Here are what I bought from the market today.

Rice dumplings chestnuts, meat and mushroom

plain kan sui dumplings to be eaten with kaya and red bean dumplings

So, do you also celebrate Duan Yu Festival? What are your favourite types of dumplings?

What??? No Stock?

Last week, we received a flyer from Giant Supermarket and one of the items that's on sale was Mamypoko. Although Ashley is potty trained during the day, she still wear Mamypoko when she sleeps at night, so we try to stock up whenever there is a sale. The price being offered was RM31.99. We decided to go to the Giant at Bandar Puteri, Puchong to shop for them but there was no more stock available. Bummer. Then yesterday, Giant advertised again in the Star newspaper and the said diaper is on sale only at the Kinrara branch. So, off we went today and to my disappointment, Size XL diapers were out of stock. The rest of the sizes are available though. Sigh...maybe I should camp outside Giant whenever Mamypoko is on sale 0_0

Bad Internet Line

For the past one week, it takes me forever to view some websites. Even accessing the Gmail account is a problem. When I log on to my blogger account, it takes like 5 minutes before I can go into my site :( I wonder if it is the problem with Maxis or the wireless router. Is anyone a subscriber to Maxis? Are you experiencing this problem too? Another problem that I am facing is that my Dell computer is very slow, especially when I am running certain programmes. I guess it is time for me to upgrade my dell memory.

Pretend Play

We use a red box to keep some of Ashley's stuff and one evening, she took everything out of the box and sat inside. Then she started to sing :-

Row Row Row The Boat
Jenly down the stream
Many Many Many Many
Life is but a dreaaaaaam

:)

The Big Breakfast ;)

I suddenly craved for McD's Big Breakfast this morning and headed to the nearest outlet for brekkie :D Had a cup of piping hot coffee which was rather strong :P Wish they have Ice Coffee over here.

I had the usual big breakfast with scrambled egg, a muffin, a flattened sausage and hash browns

Didn't know they have pancakes too and they came with a sausage. What a funny combination. Hubby had that one. Ashley didn't want anything to do with pancakes or scrambled eggs. She only ate a bit of sausage and referred to it as nuggets :D
